Capeland Housing Co-operative Limited, was originally incorporated in 1981 as a Non-profit Housing Co-operative under the Federal Section 95 funding program. The homes are located on Deal Street, Herring Cove Road and Green Acres Road. In the early 2000’s, the co-op started to struggle with their governance model and stopped functioning as a Housing Co-op. In 2015, the co-op was assigned back to the Province as they were no longer able to effectively govern the co-op. In October 2019, Capeland Housing Co-operative Limited, along with 3 other co-ops, were amalgamated into Compass NS.
